Since I am relatively still new at this blogging business I need some advice/assistance.
How do you get people to follow your blog?!
I appreciate those of you who follow me. But I only have 10. One is my mom. And another is my gay that I yelled at until he figured out how to follow me.
What do I do???
HELP!

ivie, i am going through the same kind of impatience. trust me, it's frustrating writing when you think no one's reading. have you connected your blog to facebook so that it updates when you do a post? some of your friends might follow that way. a good way is to comment a lot on other blogs, so people will start noticing you. that's kinda how i got into it. it does take time and patience though. :)
ReplyDeletelol, omg me and my sister talk about this all the time! but you just have to be patient, they will come eventually. there are a few things you can do also to maybe speed up the process. 1.) comment & follow other people's blogs, this will help people get to know you more 2.) try asking people if they want to exchange links, you follow them and vice versa. usually people are pretty nice about it, and hardly anyone says no to someone offering to follow them! 3.) post often. i find that the more you post, the more people notice your blog, bc if your blog is sitting blank for like a week or two then people might think you are not very active. 4) make sure your blog is attractive. not saying that it isn't but i mean try spicing it up a little, try different themes and such. do you know html bc then you can customize it. i know some html and css if you need help. hope these suggestions help, let me know if i can help with anything else!
ReplyDeleteI agree. Patience, networking and posting often (which I'm struggling with due to school and work). Keep in mind that people may follow your blog and you just don't know it. they can follow you through google reader and stuff like that. Just keep writing eventually you'll see the readers poke their heads out of the ground.
